70 out of 100 ain’t bad!

Greetings. Sorry for the lack of reviews this week. I have been training for a 100-mile race this summer and spent the weekend either inflicting or recovering from pain on my body. We started at 5:45 a.m. on Saturday morning, and my body ‘bonked’ with about 30 miles to go (roughly 9 p.m.).  But I am bitten and already plotting my next ultra-marathon.

I met such a wonderful group of people who approached the whole event like a team effort and not a competition. I was truly honored to be on the trails with such a great group of people.

But the most important person on the trail for me that day was my dad:

Every turn of the corner he was there rooting me on or providing assistance. I could not have gone as far as I did –in the race, or in life — without him.
