Natsukashi

A group of friends (yes, I have them) and I are working on a little side project called ‘Natsukashi,’ which can translate in the most basic terms to mean ’nostalgia.’ But in more intricate interpretations, it can roughly mean ‘History is not always as you recall it.’

We’ve applied this theory to film, selecting films that have been on the margins of our minds from our youth. They are films that we have not revisited in quite some time, and we view them again through adult eyes to see if they withstood the tests of time, or to appreciate just how fine the hallucinogens we may have been on at the time.
